April is National Poetry Month, a time for reading, writing, and sharing poetry. Featuring a dozen poets, this year’s virtual Kick-Start National Poetry Month Reading offers an opportunity to gather online in celebration of the written and spoken word. This special event is presented in partnership with the Hilton Head Island Writers’ Network and the Pat Conroy Literary Center, hosted by the Hilton Head Island Library.

This year’s virtual reading will feature poets Elizabeth Abrams, Michael Bassett, Alex Coley, Ella Faessler, Deidre Johns, Miho Kinnas, Elizabeth Robin, Bernard Snyder, and Alexander Yucas.

Free and open to the public, the reading will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Hilton Head Island Library (11 Beach City Rd.)
