Our Pat Conroy Literary Center has reopened to the public for in-person tours and a limited number of in-person events. Please keep in mind these safety precautions when planning your visit:

For your safety and ours, please…

  1. Wear a mask. Face coverings are required of all guests and volunteers.
  2. Limit attendance to no more than 8 guests in our interpretive center at one time.
  3. Practice social distancing of 6 feet or more away from guests and volunteers.
  4. Use the hand sanitizer provided.
  5.  Sign our guest book.

Interpretive Center Visitor Hours:

  • The Center is on its regular schedule you see at the very, very top of this page. That schedule is also down the page beneath the large video graphic – you can’t miss the schedule shown on these two places on this HOME page…!!!

Other times available by appointment. (This schedule is the Center regular schedule but please check the white box at the top where changes triggered  by the current pandemic may occur to our schedule…)

NeverMore Books and the nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center will host an evening with New York Times bestselling horror novelist Grady Hendrix, author of The Final Girl Support Group and The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires--in conversation with the Conroy Center's Holland Perryman and Jonathan Haupt.

Through the use of questions, stories, images, word play & drawings/doodles we will write lists, topics, poems of all styles, titles, essays – or at least begin them.

2021 Pat Conroy Literary Festival

The annual Conroy Festival began as Pat Conroy’s 70th birthday celebration in October 2015 and now continues as an annual signature event of the nonprofit Pat Conroy Literary Center. The festival is made possible each year by a generous gift from the Robert S. Handler Trust and through collaborations with a pantheon of community partners
