Make History with Us!

The Home of The Pat Conroy Literary Center

Since we opened the doors of our Pat Conroy Literary Center years ago we have greeted thousands of literary pilgrims from across the country and even the world.

We have taught and inspired thousands through writing workshops, retreats, conferences, camps for children and book discussions.

Pat Conroy during his years as a teacher on Daufuskie Island

Pat Conroy believed that “every voice matters.” Our educational programs are intended not only to teach necessary writing skills, but to inspire us to appreciate the stories and perspectives of others, as we work to create a more empathetic world.

Until now, these encounters grew out of borrowed spaces. Our permanent home in historic Beaufort will allow us to develop more programs for young people, encourage our elderly, our veterans and other all too often forgotten people to share their stories.

With your support, we aim to improve lives for generations to come. Your donation will help secure our future and earn our eternal gratitude. Your support will be appreciated and recognized, far into the future.
