On behalf of the Pat Conroy Literary Center board of directors, honorary board, advisors, volunteer ambassadors, and staff—and the Conroy family–we are enormously grateful to Pat Conroy’s extraordinary readers and beloved friends who have given so generously to establish our Pat Conroy Literary Center nonprofit as a living legacy in Pat’s honor. Your support and encouragement mean everything.
We also want to thank the many foundations and organizations that have awarded us gifts and grants in generous commitment to our growth and our educational programming benefitting readers and writers alike. We cannot do this without you.
A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Bronze Founders Circle of donors, a special group of people who helped us in early months following Pat’s death with a donation of $5,000 or more, when we were but a dream. That was a lonely time when we few, with our hearts in our throat, asked for your help. Many answered our call in the final months of 2016 with contributions of $100 or more in order to have your name inscribed in our leather-bound “Founders Journal,” now on display at the Center.
Every donor has earned our gratitude and every donation has mattered, no matter the amount. Your gifts large and small have made this Center possible and ensured the educational legacy of Pat Conroy, our “Prince of Words.” Your gifts inspire and sustain us on a daily basis.
And for those of you who helped make our new home possible through your donations to the Building Fund, our new home will long stand as a monument to your big-heartedness. Names of many of our incredibly generous donors will be displayed in the reception area.
Our Building Fund campaign is ongoing, with wonderful naming opportunities still available
