Playing with Our Senses: Poetry of the Body
Writing Workshop with Emily Davis-Fletcher

In this three-part poetry workshop, we will use writing prompts and activities that foster playfulness and wonder to create poems with a close, personal texture that connect to universal questions and themes. Be prepared to touch, taste, hear, smell and see things before you write as we enter the magic house of the body. As poet Stanley Kunitz writes, “Our most sublime thoughts have their feet planted in the clay; our best songs are body-songs.”

This workshop will be held as an online video conference call through Zoom. Details for joining the video call will be provided to all participating writers after registering. Course materials will be provided as email attachments before the first of the three sessions.

Tuesdays, June 9, 16, and 23; 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Zoom
$100 per participant, includes all sessions.

Registration: http://patconroyliterarycenter.eventbrite.com

This workshop is limited to 12 participants. Two scholarships are available based on financial need. To apply for a scholarship, please email a brief statement (200 words max.) explaining your financial need to emilydfj@gmail.com by May 31
