Pat Conroy Literary Center – Beaufort, SC

Join Anchorage Writers Retreat Weekend faculty member and Thurber Award-winning memoirist Harrison Scott Key as he lays bare the joys and terrors of the American Dream (and the writing life) from his latest memoir, Congratulations, Who Are You Again?, a book that “sugarcoats nothing about the grueling parts of forgoing safety for the pursuit of a life’s calling” (Atlanta-Journal-Constitution), where Key “humorously and tenderly mines his own life to understand why on earth anyone would want to become a writer” (Kirkus Reviews).

Southern Living describes him as “Flannery O’Connor meets Chuck Klosterman meets Seinfeld.” His mother describes him as “one of my sons.”

This event is free and open to the public. A book signing will follow the author’s presentation.
