DESCRIPTION:Register: patconroyliterarycenter.eventbrite.com \nSaturday\, February 10\, 2024 · 10:00 am – 12:00 pm EST\nCost: $40\nLimited to 15 participants (A minimum of five participants is needed for this workshop.)\nVenue: Pat Conroy Literary Center | 601 Bladen St Beaufort\, SC 29902 \nDorothy Parker once said\, “I hate writing\, but I love having written.” For many of us that’s true\, the fun begins after we’ve written—when we have something to play with\, something to revise. \nIn this workshop\, participants will come to love their inner editors and learn that editing can be fun. We’ll begin by looking first at other writers’ work\, then move on to participants’ work. Writers will need to bring the first 20 or so pp of their work in progress. We’ll evaluate major story elements and explore how they might make the work stronger\, more effective\, and more memorable. \nThis in-person workshop will be held at the Pat Conroy Literary Center (601 Bladen St.)\, limited to 15 participants.
